Acoustic Resonance Enhancement
Our NCX2000 models use woods that have been treated with Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.) process. A.R.E. is an original wood reforming technology unique to Yamaha. Through precise control of the temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played and cherished for many years. the process produces guitars with a sharper tone, with a defined top-end and excellent resonance.
All guitars in the NX series feature our 2-way under saddle pickup system and System 61 preamp with 3-band EQ and built-in tuner.
